Summary:
Works under the direction of the Director of Communications and in conjunction with the Communications Manager to plan, implement, and monitor our social media strategy in order to increase brand awareness, improve marketing efforts, and increase engagement.
Essential Functions:
Ability to develop and implement Asburys corporate social media strategy.
Ability to monitor online activity across departments and geographical areas to ensure anyone using the companys online tools is following established guidelines and best-practice rules.
Encourage greater social media participation.
Identify opportunities to influence public perception through audience engagement and publicly speaking about the brands social media strategy Concept & produce output for our paid and owned digital channels Produce new content for social media channels Maintain groups on social media platforms by managing post approvals and monitoring discussions.
Execute against a wider social media strategy and brand guidelines Work closely with media partners to optimize assets and drive asset performance Manage and design graphic and video content for social media Utilize social media marketing tools Other
Responsibilities:
Works with advancement team to provide support as needed Stays abreast of changes in social media industry and programs that will improve the efficiency and creativity of the office Tools & Equipment:
Experience working with Macintosh operating system Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite Knowledge, Skills and Abilities, and Minimum
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Communications with an emphasis in social media or related field or equivalent experience Has a firm understanding of best-in-class performance principles on digital and social channels A thorough knowledge of social media platforms (formats, updates, rules and limitations) Awareness of digital innovations and trends Experience working on digital and social campaigns (for agency or in house).
Can manage their workload and work to deadlines and budgets Basic video editing skills and/or graphic design skills preferred Excellent oral and written communication skills A commitment to teamwork.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
