Performs primary function of a Registered Nurse in planning, directing, ensuring, and evaluating quality of patient care delivered.
Works primarily in the Advanced Care Unit but floats to other departments as needed based on ACU census.
Serves as a liaison to providers to determine appropriate level of care and unit placement across the hospital care continuum.
Demonstrates competency in advanced nursing skills.
Promptly notifies appropriate provider with changes in condition.
Works independently but seeks assistance of other nursing staff as needed.
Attends all mandatory training.
Assists with orientation and coaching of new staff.
Assists in policy development and revision for ACU.
