The Administrative Specialist III provides administrative support functions for nursing and other departments.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Plans and organizes administrative functions for the administrator and audits contracts.
Provides support and assistance in coordinating administrative workload, filing of records, and completion of reports.
Attends staff meetings and other designated meetings to records minutes.
Issues copies of minutes to the appropriate department managers.
Organizes and distributes audits and schedules monthly Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement meetings.
Receives data from department managers and organizes the survey readiness book for VA and OIG surveys.
Communicates with staff, residents, and visitors to give instructions and information.
Minimum Requirements EDUCATION:
Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS:
Three years of professional, administrative, or business experience.
Substitute EDUCATION for
Experience:
Additional education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION:
Additional administrative, business, research, and/or clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

NONE Working Conditions Incumbents working in this job title primarily perform duties in an office setting.
Probationary Period This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.
