Expectations for this position include, but are not limited to:
Safely transports Residents to medical appointments and other authorized appointments.
Performs required security services for Thomson-Hood Veterans Center.
Patrols facility's building and grounds to prevent trespass, theft, fire and other hazards.
Performs traffic control and monitoring of driveway and parking areas to ensure compliance with facilitypolicies.
Inspects and monitors storage, makes sure all safety hazards in resident and staff areas are corrected.
Assist with lawn and general building maintenance, including but not limited to painting and mowing.
Other duties as assigned.

This job requires mandatory COVID 19 vaccination or an approved exemption in accordance with CMS-3415-IFC fromthe Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
This means if appointed to the position, the applicant must havecompleted the primary vaccination series for COVID-19, which means the administration of a single-dose vaccineor the administration of all required doses of a multi-dose vaccine upon commencement of employment.
Thevaccine received must be one of the FDA-approved or FDA-authorized vaccines.
Proof of vaccination will berequired.
If a medical or religious exemption is sought, the candidate must submit paperwork to the employerprior to appointment for review and approval.
Minimum RequirementsEDUCATION:
High school graduate.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS:
Must have two years of military, security guard/officer, safety, corrections, or law enforcement experience.

Additional experience in one of the above areas will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license to qualify for employment in this job classification.
Must furnish the agency's appointing authority within six months of appointment into the job title documentation that he or she possesses a valid commercial driver's license or a valid commercial driver's license commiserate with the type of commercial vehicle being utilized by the agency.
